Summary
The report ‘A Step in the Right Direction – The policing of anti-social behaviour’ presents findings from HMIC inspection visits, a review of approximately 100 ASB calls in each force and an Ipsos MORI survey of over 9,000 victims of ASB.
The report is a follow up to the ‘Stop the Rot’ report published in September 2010.
The data used for the report comes from: Home Office crime statistics designated as National Statistics and previously published and Ipsos MORI survey data.
There will also be individual force reports based on the same data and evidence sources.
The data from the Ipsos MORI survey have not been published elsewhere and are therefore a first release. These data are outside the scope of National Statistics.
