Intelligence-led integrity test
A covert policing tactic where a police officer or member of police staff is put in a simulated scenario to test their integrity. For example, an anti-corruption unit may send an officer, who is suspected of stealing property, to a fake crime scene with valuable items on display. The scenario allows the anti-corruption unit to monitor how police personnel behave when they encounter a potential opportunity for corruption. The unit can then assess whether their actions meet professional standards.
