We were commissioned to inspect the Police of Service on Northern Ireland and examine the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
Child protection, Joint inspection —
Between 3 and 7 February, Ofsted, HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services, the Care Quality Commission and HM Inspectorate of Probation carried out a joint targeted area inspection of the multi-agency response to unborn children and those aged 0 to 7 who are victims of domestic abuse in North Yorkshire.

Too few criminal investigations are leading to justice for victims. Therefore, we inspected how effectively the police investigate crime.

Between 20 and 24 January 2025, Ofsted, HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services and the Care Quality Commission carried out a joint targeted area inspection of the multi-agency response to identification of initial need and risk in Bromley.
