HMIC published an initial report in October 2014 on the child protection work of West Midlands Police. This found that despite a clear commitment to protecting children, there were areas of concern that meant children were not receiving the service they deserve. In July 2015 inspectors carried out a follow up inspection – the findings are in the report below.
