Violence reduction unit

A specialist unit intended to bring together police, local government, health, community leaders and other organisations to address violent crime by understanding its causes and responding in a co-ordinated way. The Government introduced these units in parts of the country with high instances of violent crime. They may also be referred to as violence reduction partnerships.
