Reactive management
Lower-risk registered sex offenders who haven’t come to the notice of the police recently may be considered, subject to specific criteria, for reactive management. This means that they don’t receive home visits and that they are monitored remotely so the force can focus resources on those posing greatest risk. Any intelligence or changes to their circumstances should lead to a review of their risk assessment. If appropriate, their level of risk can be increased, or home visits reintroduced.
