Integrated risk management plan (IRMP)
A plan which each fire and rescue service is required to produce. Each plan must outline:
- all foreseeable fire and rescue related risks;
- how the service will allocate resources across prevention, protection and response;
- required service objectives, including resource allocation for mitigating risks; and
- the service’s management strategy and risk-based programme for enforcing the provisions of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Fire and rescue services are transitioning to a community risk management plan (CRMP) and this will replace the IRMP in future.
