Crime outcome type

The Home Office Counting Rules provide a national standard for recording and counting offences recorded by police forces in England and Wales. The rules require each recorded crime to be assigned an ‘outcome type’. This describes the reason for closing it. For example, see outcome 15 and outcome 16.
