Data

Information about the data sources that support our inspections of fire and rescue services are shown in the ‘about the data’ sections on the left-hand side. These correspond with different inspection rounds.

Data used in our inspection reports are the latest available to us at the time of the inspection fieldwork. Where there are updates between fieldwork and our report publication, or after the publication of the report, data will not be changed unless it is to correct an error. This way, the report narrative reflects our evidence, including data, as it was at the time our judgments were formed.

If you select a fire and rescue service on our interactive map, you can view its profile. This includes relevant contextual data.

Public perceptions of fire and rescue services
