Effectiveness, Mental health  —

This report sets out our findings from an inspection into how effectively the police respond to and support people with mental health problems.

Criminal justice joint inspections, Custody suites  —

This inspection into Merseyside Police is one of a series on police custody inspections carried out jointly by HMI Prisons and HMICFRS. The programme looks at strategy, treatment and conditions, individual rights and health care. It also contributes to the UK’s response to its international obligation to ensure regular and independent inspection of all places of detention.

Child protection, Joint inspection  —

Ofsted, the Care Quality Commission, HMICFRS and HMI Probation, examined the multi-agency response to older child exploitation and children missing from home, care or education. This builds on findings from the 2016 report, ‘Time to listen’ – a joined up response to child sexual exploitation and missing children’.
