Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services has today published an assessment on the accuracy of crime recording in Cleveland Police, which found that the force properly records around 83 percent of crimes reported to it.

In November 2015, HMICFRS announced that it would inspect forces’ crime-recording practices in a rolling programme of every force in England and Wales.
