National Crime Agency - a progress report
Summary
The National Crime Agency (NCA) was created in 2013 to lead the UK’s fight against serious and organised crime. In 2014, HMIC published An inspection of the NCA, which examined how efficient and effective it was in undertaking the statutory requirement of the criminal intelligence function with regard to information.
The 2014 report identified a number of areas for improvement and made recommendations to the NCA, which were addressed in a follow-up inspection in 2015. The progress made against these recommendations and areas for improvement is set out in this report.
The report published today is a public version of the report submitted to the Home Secretary in March 2016.
