Summary

Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary, gave a speech at The Centre for Social Justice about the role HMIC plays in helping to promote the well-being of vulnerable people when they come into contact with the police.

This speech forms the background to three reports that HMIC is publishing on the police response to child protection (including online child exploitation) and how better management of police information can improve how forces deal with these and other types of offences.
