City of London – National child protection inspection post-inspection review
This inspection reviewed the progress made in City of London Police since the publication of our last report for City of London in 2020. It is part of a rolling programme of inspections of all police forces in England and Wales.
During this inspection we:
- examined force policies, strategies and other documents;
- interviewed senior leaders, managers and supervisors;
- held focus groups with frontline staff; and
- audited 26 child protection incidents/investigations. Of these, we found 9 cases to be good, 14 required improvement and 3 were inadequate.
This report sets out our findings.
