An inspection of the UK's International Crime Bureau
Summary
The growing international reach of criminals – enabled by 21st century communication technology, low-cost travel and, in some parts of the world, free movement across borders – represents a major challenge for law enforcement. Following the creation of the National Crime Agency, in 2013, the UK International Crime Bureau was set up to help police forces and law enforcement agencies work with counterparts around the world to combat international crimes.
This report sets out findings of an inspection into whether risks are identified and mitigated in a timely and prioritised manner, and how efficient and effective the International Crime Bureau is.
