Crime data integrity
HMIC has published the first batch of force reports from our current crime data integrity inspection programme which follow on from the interim report we published in May 2014. These reports include specific recommendations for each force on how to improve the accuracy of, and therefore public confidence in, the way the police records crime.

The reports published today do not include any national assessment of crime recording in England and Wales. Once we have finished analysing the remaining forces, we will publish a second batch of force-specific reports in Autumn 2014, which will be followed by a final national thematic inspection report, detailing our findings and recommendations for forces.
