About the service

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service is the statutory fire & rescue service serving the county of Warwickshire in the West Midlands region of England. The service covers an area of 1,975 square kilometres and a population of around 556,750 people and includes Atherstone, Bedworth, Nuneaton, Rugby, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth, Alcester and Wellesbourne.

The south of the county is largely rural and sparsely populated, and includes a small area of the Cotswolds, at the border with northwest Gloucestershire.

It employs over 450 staff and has 17 stations with 23 fire engines. The service is administered by Warwickshire County Council. Its headquarters are in Leamington Spa.
