During our inspection of Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, in November 2018, we identified a cause for concern about the service's fire engine availability and whether its firefighters had the necessary safety critical skills to respond to emergencies. The service submitted an action plan setting out how it would address the cause for concern. This letter sets out the findings of our second revisit to review progress.

During our inspection of West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, in November 2018, we identified a cause of concern about the management and oversight of the safe and well visit process and the effectiveness of its risk-based inspection service.
