Our Fire and Rescue Service assessments give you information about how your local fire and rescue service has performed in several important areas. In our latest assessments of Hereford and Worcester FRS, we made the following graded judgments:
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service has 25 stations with 41 fire engines strategically located across the two counties. All stations respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The service receives nearly 10,000 emergency calls each year requesting assistance at a wide variety of incidents, including property and countryside fires, road traffic collisions, collapsed structures, hazardous materials and animal and water rescues. It attends just over 6,500 incidents each year – more than 125 incidents every week..
The service has around 250 wholetime firefighters. It also hosts one of 29 national urban search and rescue specialist units.
