In July 2024, following the publication of an independent review of the effectiveness of multi-agency responses to child sexual exploitation in Greater Manchester, the Greater Manchester mayor commissioned His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services to inspect Greater Manchester Police and its safeguarding partners’ approach to investigating allegations of child criminal and sexual exploitation.

Our commission focused on the current and ongoing provision for investigating allegations of child criminal and sexual exploitation.
