Our Fire and Rescue Service assessments give you information about how your local fire and rescue service has performed in several important areas. In our latest assessments of West Yorkshire FRS, we made the following graded judgments:
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue serves the five metropolitan boroughs of City of Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, City of Leeds and City of Wakefield. The Metropolitan county has grown to become the fourth largest in the UK after Greater London, West Midlands and Greater Manchester. The county also has Leeds Bradford International Airport.
The service has 40 fire stations with its headquarters in Birkenshaw.
