About the service
Norfolk County Council is the statutory fire authority providing a Fire and Rescue Service for the county of Norfolk in the east of England. Norfolk is a largely rural county. Of the county’s population, 40 percent live in four major built up areas: Norwich, Great Yarmouth, King’s Lynn and Thetford.
The service has 42 stations, managed within four districts, with their headquarters being co-located with the Norfolk Constabulary in the town of Wymondham, nine miles south of Norwich.
